Inilah debut album Soneta Group bersama Yukawi yang melejitkan hits Begadang. Dengan lirik dan beat yang sederhana lagu Begadang menghantarkan Soneta Group bersama Pak Haji dan Elvy Sukaesih ke gerbang kesuksesan. Konon sebetulnya yang dijagokan adalah lagu Tung Keripit yang dinilai memiliki nilai lebih dari segi aransemen musik dan beat lagu. Lagu Begadang sempat pula direkam dan diedarkan oleh Remaco dengan artis Favourites Group pimpinan A. Riyanto. Pada tahun 80-an, Group Jazz Karimata (kalau tidak salah) pernah merekam lagu Begadang secara instrumental.

Album Begadang merupakan kaset Indonesia pertama yang menyelipkan lirik lagu pada sampul/cover kasetnya.

Cover kaset menampilkan foto Pak Haji yang berambut gondrong dan Elvy Sukaesih berdiri di depan rumah dengan pakaian khas tahun 70-an.
